I received an email from Melanie awhile back expressing interest in our video packages. Melanie is a good friend of Lauren and Jimmy Huffman who had a beautiful fall wedding last October. I love referrals!!
The first thing I noticed about Melanie was she was a fellow JCU alum. Go Blue Streaks!
After going back and forth via email we finally connected over the phone to discuss Nate and her wedding. After a minute of talking with Melanie I new this was a great couple and I was so looking forward to the wedding. Melanie was telling me all about Nate and how he would retuning soon from a 15 month tour of duty in Baghdad, Iraq. I could hear the excitement in her voice and I new this was a special couple. Needless to say I was looking forward to capturing their special day. Not only was it taking place on my old college campus and Melanie's, but I knew it was going to be a beautiful day.
The day started off overcast and slightly drizzly but by the time 3 o'clock rolled around it was beautiful sunny June day.
Melanie glided down the aisle of St Franicis chapel on the arms of her father to be greeted by an excited yet slightly nervous Nate. As the couple said their vows sunlight streamed in through the beautiful stained glass windows of the church and bathed the couple in a beautiful glow of sunlight.
Photo's were taken in the chapel and then all over campus. John Carroll has beautiful campus with so much potential for photographs. I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a unique spot for photos.
